Returns,
Straight From The Dock.
Fresh fish is final at delivery. Everything else is returnable within 24 hours, in original packaging, through your regular driver. Here's exactly how it works.

What Can Be Returned
Fresh fish is final at the time of delivery. Any fresh-fish return must occur immediately on receipt — handed back to the driver on the spot. For all other items, ProFish will accept any return if it was purchased within the past 24 hours and is in its original packaging.
Returned items can be credited against your account or refunded directly to the payment method, once we’ve been notified of the defect.
What We Can’t Guarantee
Seafood carries inherent conditions that no processor can eliminate. We forewarn every customer that the following will not be valid for credit — and ProFish as the re-seller or processor makes no warranty, express or otherwise, regarding:
- Shells in crabmeat — we cannot guarantee that crabmeat is shell-free at any size or grade: Jumbo Lump, Jumbo, Lump, or Backfin.
- Fish bones — no matter how precise a cutter, fish bones can be small and difficult to locate in the flesh. ProFish does not and cannot guarantee any fish is 100% bone-free.

When Must It Be Returned By
- Fresh items — at the time of delivery, handed back to the driver for return.
- All other items — on your next available delivery date. For home delivery this may be a specific day; for wholesale accounts it should be the next day.
In every case, an immediate phone call or email notification must go to info@profish.com.

Where to Return Items
All items should be given to your regular driver — or their substitute — on the scheduled delivery day.
Ask the driver for a receipt when you hand off a returned item. That document is how we track the return through our system; keep it in case the credit doesn’t appear on your statement.

How to Initiate a Return
Notify ProFish of the intended return immediately. A sales representative will be in touch to confirm the next steps.
Our credit policy requires that a returned item be in the same condition as its sale and maintained in proper refrigeration while awaiting physical return.
In some cases the customer will be told to discard the product. If that happens, your ProFish representative will provide a credit number at the time of instruction — hold onto it until the credit appears.

Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are not refundable under any circumstances.

Credit for Returns
When a return is accepted by ProFish, the credit — either against future purchases or against the original payment method — is issued within 24 hours.

Is There a Store Option?
Yes. You can return product directly to ProFish at 1900 Fenwick Street NE, Washington DC 20002. Please call in advance to ensure someone is on site to receive the return.

Packaging Material Return Policy
All packaging can be returned to the driver at any time.
Seafood is often packaged in Styrofoam. ProFish runs an environmentally friendly solution for it — we use state-of-the-art technology that reduces the foam to its base state so it can be reused in other applications. Hand your Styrofoam back to us rather than sending it to a landfill.
